What is Ecommerce?
Ecommerce, also referred to as electronic commerce or internet commerce, refers to the purchasing and selling of goods or services. Using the internet, and thus the transfer of cash and data to execute these deals. Ecommerce is usually wont to ask the measurement of physical products online. But it can also describe any quiet commercial transaction facilitated through the web.
Whereas e-commerce refers to all or any aspects of operating a web business, eCommerce refers to the transaction of products and services.
The history of eCommerce begins with the primary ever online sale. On August 11, 1994, a person sold a CD by the band Sting to his friend through his website NetMarket, an American retail platform. This is often the primary example of a consumer purchasing a product from a business through the planet Wide Web—or “eCommerce,” as we realize it today.
Since then, eCommerce has evolved to form products easier to get and buy through online retailers and marketplaces. Independent freelancers, small businesses, and enormous corporations have all benefited from eCommerce. Which permits them to sell their products at a scale that wasn’t possible with traditional offline retail.
Types of E-commerce Models
Four main sorts of eCommerce models can describe almost every transaction. Which takes place between consumers and businesses. 1. Business to Consumer (B2C):
When a business sells goods or services to a private consumer (e.g., you buy a pair of shoes from a web retailer). 2. Business to Business (B2B):
When a business sells goods or services to a different business (e.g., A business sells software-as-a-service for other businesses to use)
3. Consumer to Consumer (C2C): When a consumer sells an honest or service to a different consumer (e.g., You sell your old furniture on eBay to different clients).
4. Customer to Business (C2B):
When a Customer sells their own goods or services to a business or organization.
E-commerce can combat a spread of forms involving different transactional relationships between businesses and consumers. And different objects being exchanged as a part of these deals. Performing image editing and applying picture effects to any image is a time-consuming exercise that is fit only for an avid photoshop user.
